"Kawang-Gawa"
Lilia Ocampo Laigo Fund
"Ang kawanggawa ay ang kusang-loob na pagbibigay ng tulong sa mga nangangailangan bilang isang makataong gawain o kagandahang-loob na walang hinihinging kapalit kundi pasasalamat lamang."
"Charity is the voluntary deed of giving to those in need as a humanitarian act of kindness or generosity that expects nothing in return but gratitude."
Passionate about giving back to others, Ellen decided on a Fund Campaign back in 1999 that emulates her mother’s profession – a School Principal for so many years at the St. Louis Balatoc Mines Elementary School, by setting up the Lilia Ocampo Laigo Fund to help others in need.
“I thought this is a wonderful way to pay tribute to my mother, Lilia, to make a positive difference and create a lasting legacy that will have an impact to the recipients for years to come, starting at least in the City of Baguio, and nearby Towns". - Ellen.
